This work in the state of Chhattisgarh comprises R.C.C. diaphragm walls on the upstream and downstream of the weir anchored in the rock, which is 22 m deep. The wires were constructed for sandy permeable strata in the river. The length of each diaphragm wall is 400 m, and the maximum depth was 22 meters.
The superstructure of the weir is made of concrete with upstream and downstream aprons of concrete blocks and packed stones. It has an under sluice, canal head regulator and earthen afflux bunds.
