Grabbing Work in Progress using 4-ton grabs and with bentonite circulation
Drilling of inclined holes in sand using diamond drill machines for anchoring purpose
Anchoring work by Special Steel Wire for post-tension anchoring
The work consists of a 1600 m long RCC diaphragm wall, having a thickness of 60 cm in M-25 concrete with a maximum depth of 26 meters. The RCC Diaphragm wall has been constructed and anchored about 1 m in the foundation rock across Banas river whose bed is completely filled up with coarse and medium-size sand. To overcome the bending moment, about 520 Nos. of post-tension anchors were also provided at 2.5 m c/c. The post-tension anchors at 45° absorb reactions from the other side of the rock and provided stability, to take care of the water head and submerged the weight of sand. The diaphragm wall along with the protection work and anchors were completed, three months ahead of schedule. The same was achieved by 4 Nos. of crawler cranes, 2 Nos. batching plants, 22 nos. tippers, 2 nos. roller, 5 nos. excavators, 2 crushers, 15 drilling rigs, 5 grouting stations and other T&P with 12 engineers and more than 500 foreman, operators, skilled & unskilled labour.
